The Claddagh Mhor Pipe Band practices in the basement of the Maine Irish Heritage Center in Portland every Monday evening. Established in 2009, the group welcomes both beginning and experienced pipe players. Tom Ryan is the band’s director and has been playing the bagpipes since he was a young child. While he has a cultural connection to Irish bagpipes, the group welcomes everyone regardless of their heritage.
